This mini course will help students to master the core knowledge of the physics of semiconductor devices. The topics will cover the thermal equilibrium properties of semiconductor materials, charge transport behaviors and nonequilibrium excess carrier dynamics. The knowledge gained from the course will be used in a variety of device simulation. Students also have to complete a design project of a thin film solar cell device by combining the hand-on experience of the device simulator with Matlab script.
